An Open Letter To North Carolina Citizens

Dear Friends,
I am writing to endorse the candidacy of Senator Robert Pittenger for the office of Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. Robert is a successful businessman who has already given so much to our State through his service in the North Carolina General Assembly and his Foundation for NC Future. He has brought a sharp pencil to the excesses in the State budget, and has been a pioneer in identifying problems and leading toward sound business solutions. He has served with courage, competence and integrity.
Because of his business and Senate background, Robert Pittenger understands the workings of both the private and public sector. He knows better than most legislators how an excessive burden of taxes and regulations can grind down many employers, to the ultimate detriment of our working people. He also knows that government has important responsibilities for "Better Schools, Better Roads, and Better Jobs", responsibilities that suffer when taxes are wasted in any area.
Under the North Carolina Constitution, the Lieutenant Governor of our State must preside over the North Carolina Senate, and monitor the flow of vital legislation and spending. Robert Pittenger has the parliamentary experience and the personal skills to carry out that duty with distinction. I am confident that, if elected, he will serve ably and will help guide us toward a healthier economy. For all these reasons, I hope that you will join me in supporting Robert Pittenger as. our candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
