Washington, DC- FreedomWorks PAC announced its endorsement of Robert Pittenger for Congress in North Carolina’s 9thDistrict following in-depth discussions with Pittenger, a review of the candidates in the race, and input from FreedomWorks PAC members in the district. FreedomWorks PAC believes Robert Pittenger is the clear choice for voters who support free markets, fiscal responsibility, and constitutionally-limited government.
Robert Pittenger is a former North Carolina State Senator and a successful small business owner, where he learned how to create jobs and observed firsthand what the burden of overregulation does to the private sector.
FreedomWorks PAC Executive Director Max Pappas commented, “Robert Pittenger has been on the forefront of many fiscal policy debates within the North Carolina State Senate and proved himself to be a leader for fiscal responsibility and reining in the powers of government. His policy and business expertise will make him an instant leader in the House, and he will work to advance the kind of constitutionally-limited government policies we need to turn this country around.”
Pappas continued “While Pittenger’s opponent campaigns as a fiscal conservative, the facts show that he is the opposite. Robert Pittenger is willing to fight for reduced spending and cutting waste in the federal budget, while long-time Democrat Jim Pendergraph supports raising taxes. During this current campaign, Jim Pendergraph raised property taxes on his own community. The choice is clear: those who believe Washington has a spending problem will send Robert Pittenger to fix it, while those who think the solution is more tax dollars will send Jim Pendergraph to find more ways to spend it.”
FreedomWorks PAC is a grassroots service center for over 1.8 million activists nationwide dedicated to fighting for lower taxes, less government, and more freedom in every Congressional district in America.
